The Kapuso P-pop girl group XOXO is making a comeback to the local music scene with the release of their new single “GLNG (Go Lang Ng Go)” under GMA Music.

With their magnetic personalities, remarkable vocal prowess, and infectious energy, XOXO members Riel, Lyra, Dani, and Mel are poised to make a mark in the country’s rising P-pop industry as the only P-pop group from the Kapuso network with their new release.

“GLNG”, composed by Ramiru Mataro and Geca Morales, is a contemporary pop anthem that carries a message of empowerment and self-expression. The song’s lyrics delve into themes of chasing dreams, overcoming obstacles, ignoring detractors, and embracing individuality, resonating with a wide audience. The track’s infectious rhythm and powerful vocals have already garnered attention and praise from both critics and fans alike.

During the blogcon for “GLNG,” XOXO member Riel differentiates “GLNG” from their previous tracks.

“This time it’s a different kind of flavor. Upbeat siya, inspirational, motivational pero Tagalog naman po. ‘Yung first two songs namin were in English pero iba pa rin talaga ‘yung kinakanta mo ‘yung awitin mo sa sarili mong lenggwahe. Kaya sobrang proud po kami na ipakita po ‘yung side namin na nagra-rap ng Tagalog tapos may sayaw rin po kami roon. Sobrang nakakataba po ng puso at excited po kaming iparinig po sa inyo,” she said.

XOXO member Miel, on the other hand, invites Filipinos in Singapore to catch them perform live in the Southeast Asian country for the S-Pop x P-pop concert SPECTACLE! 2023. They are excited for this gig because it’s going to be their very first show outside the Philippines. They will be joining Kapamilya P-pop groups BINI and BGYO in the said concert.
