After the success of their primetime fantasy rom-com series “The Lost Recipe” (the highest rating program on GMA News TV), Mikee Quintos and Kelvin Miranda released a feel-good romantic single “Two of a Kind” which is now available for download or streaming on Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube Music, and other digital stores worldwide.

The Mikel love team recorded the song after their series aired its final episode.

“Actually the last few weeks of our taping, we were already scheduling the recording pero sumasabay po sa dates ng last few days ng taping namin so hindi matuloy tuloy. After our last day we were able to record right away naman. Few delays happened because of the quarantine but I’m glad we pushed through. I’m liking the reactions naman po,” said Mikee.

“Two of a Kind” was actually composed and written by Jimmy Borja, Edmund Perlas, and James Scott in California.

“Galing pa po siya sa ibang country then inihain sa amin yung song na yun, nakakatuwa dahil maganda ‘yung lyrics at meron siyang upbeat na vibe,” Kelvin quipped.

The song tells the story of two people who are ready to conquer love and life together. The chorus goes:

“Sometimes a problem can leave you frustrated,
Sometimes the world makes you terrified
But I’ll be there, always by your side
‘Coz we both know that we’re two of a kind
Two of a kind”

It’s interesting to note that a video of Mikee and Kelvin singing together (while the latter is also playing the guitar) went viral a few months ago which goes to show that music became one of their bonding moments during the shooting of “The Lost Recipe” and they both truly love to sing. Mikee is hoping that the single will put a smile on the faces of their supporters. Kelvin, on the other hand, is thankful to GMA Music for giving them a chance to sing together
