‘Bagong Umaga’ Trends on Twitter During Pilot Airing

Viewers immediately got glued to ABS-CBN’s newest series “Bagong Umaga” as it premiered last Monday (October 26) on A2Z channel 11, Kapamilya Channel, and Kapamilya Online Live.

The show’s hashtag, #AngSimulangBagongUmaga,” trended over Twitter with netizens tweeting that are excited to see more episodes. According to @JUANBIEconfess1, “Galing ng cast! Nakakabitin! Hahaha. Congrats on the new show! #SimulaNgBagongUmaga @barbieeimperial.”

@Sneys2 wished, “Sana gawin na po ng 45 minutes nakakabitin sobrang bilis lalo na paglabas ng mga character nila @hperalejo along nakaka excite.” Fans also commended the acting of Glydel, Keempee, and Sunshine.

“May cinematic feels yung first few scenes. Tapos ang galing pa ni Glydel Mercado. Last saw her sa MHL, scene-stealer si mamang always. Madalas mga veteran actors na dapat support lang, sila pa yung nagdadala ng show #SimulaNgBagongUmaga,” @bellaNY tweeted.

@Herophi87716054 said, “#SimulaNgBagongUmaga si Sunshine Cruz, pwede talaga sa mabait at kontabida role.” “Keempee de Leon galeng,” @shalotrivera1 stated.

Viewers witnessed Diana’s (Glydel Mercado) despair as her daughter is denied an emergency surgery by hospital owners, Ian (Cris Villanueva) and Maggie (Sunshine Cruz), despite the pleas made by Ian’s own mother, Hilda (Rio Locson) on Diana’s behalf.

Ian would again show no sympathy for another patient, Monica (Nikki Valdez), whose pregnancy has complications, by giving his own wife priority as she also began to go into labor.

Despite her husband Jose’s (Keempee de Leon) protests, Monica had no choice but to wait and soon, suffered the loss of one of her twin babies.

Inconsolable after her daughter died, Diana promised to exact revenge on Ian and Maggie, vowing the couple would suffer the same fate. She lost no time setting her plan into motion and successfully snuck into the hospital nursery to switch the babies.

What will become of Diana’s revenge? What kind of life awaits the children now that they will grow up in different families?
