‘Tawag ng Tanghalan’ 5 Semi-Finalists Clash in 1st Week-Long Semi-Finals
The five semi-finalists of “It’s Showtime’s” “Tawag ng Tanghalan” are set to face off and prove their singing prowess once again in the highly anticipated first-ever semi-finals of the competition next week.
Two semi-finalists from Mindanao, another two from Metro Manila, and one from Luzon will battle it out in the competition that is set to happen from Monday (March 28) to Saturday (April 2).
Mindanao will be represented by “Ulirang Tatay ng Davao” Dominador Alviola Jr., the first-ever semi-finalist, and the “Mama Sessionista ng Pagadian” Maricel Callo.
Making Metro Manila proud are “Sales Diva ng Makati” Rachel Gabreza and “Dad Incredi-voice ng Navotas” Jaime Navarro.
Meanwhile, solely representing Luzon in the competition is “Sweet Songstress ng Laguna” Mary Gidget Dela Llana.
In the week-long clash, the finalists will choose their songs based on a theme for each day, but this time, they will again be prone to elimination.
They will again be judged by the panel of jurors that includes Karylle, Nyoy Volante, K Brosas, Karla Estrada, Yeng Constantino, Direk Bobot Mortiz, and Rey Valera.
Viewers will also get the chance to let their voice be heard as they can support their favorite semi-finalists by voting via text.
To vote, just text TAWAGNAME OF SEMI-FINALIST and send it to 2366 for all networks. A vote only costs P1. A SIM card may only send one vote per day.
After all the performances of the semi-finalists, the jurors’ scores and text votes from viewers will be combined on April 2. The ones who will get the highest scores will enter the grans finals round.
