Starpop Introduces New Gen of OPM Acts Via Campus Tours Nationwide

Kapamilya artists are going full blast in spreading the power of music among today’s generation as StarPop stages a series of campus tours nationwide. 

It was a day full of relatable stories told through beautiful and captivating songs numbers with ABS-CBN Music artists Alexa Ilacad, KD Estrada, Jason Dy, Jeremy G, Angela Ken, FANA, Kice, and Jem Macatuno who all brought their A game at Arellano University in Manila last April 11.  The event was in line with StarPop’s objective to introduce a new breed of Filipino acts and stir today’s youth toward further appreciation of OPM.StarPop label head Roque “Rox” Santos said, “We’re discovering a new breed of artists and singer-songwriters. Pareho silang ng experiences, ng nararamdaman with today’s generation. Ito yung mga artists na pwedeng kumonek sa Gen Z.” The Saint Louis University stop in Baguio City last March meanwhile featured rising talents Anji Salvacion, Maki, Gello Marquez, Trisha Denise, and Nameless Kids, alongside Angela, Jem, and Kio, who treated the audience with their original music and artistry.The tour’s next stop is the University of the East-Caloocan this Friday (April 19) with exciting performances from Alexa, Angela, FANA, Gello, Jem, Jeremy, KD, and Marlo Mortel.Last year, the StarPop Campus Tour also went to Capitol University and PHINMA-Cagayan de Oro College in CDO, La Consolacion College in Bacolod, and Adamson University and Far Eastern University in Manila. Watch out for the next stop of the tour organized by StarPop and ABS-CBN Events. For more details, follow StarPop on FacebookX (Twitter)Instagram, and TikTok.
