MMFF 2013 Earnings to Hit P1 Billion at the Box Office
With still two days left for all 8 entries at the movie houses nationwide, the 39th edition of the annual film fest is poised for a remarkable PhP1 billion gross.
I have mixed emotions for this as The Lifestyle Hub didn’t see an outstanding film from any of the 8 entries this year. If there’s one I observed to be festival worthy, it would only be 10,000 Hours and maybe, Pagpag. Two contrasting interrogative hypotheses: Are Filipinos content with this low quality, overly commercialized films which we are giving massive support? Or we just felt the need to uplift local cinema?
MMDA did not release official data for each movie’s income but “My Little Bossings” remains to be the over-all box office leader. Tolentino shared though that last Sunday, January 5, Vice Ganda’s “Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy” snatched the number 1 position from Vic Sotto and Kris Aquino for a day. “Pagpag” remains to be at the third position.
Malamang hinocus pocus yon! Cguro tlgang no.1 n ang GBBT!
