‘MMK Classics,’ Uplifting Family Movies Air on Jeepney TV this Holy Week

Jeepney TV brings back well-loved Pinoy movies and “MMK” classics that are sure to leave viewers with much-needed inspiration and hope this Holy Week from Thursday to Saturday (March 31 to April 2).

This Maundy Thursday, relive the heartwarming stories in “Anak” starring Vilma Santos and Claudine Barretto, 11:30 AM and KathNiel’s “Barcelona: A Love Untold,” 9:10 PM. “MMK”s” “Jacket” episode with Empoy Marquez and Heaven Peralejo will air at 8:30 AM, while the episode titled “Bracelet” with Julia Barretto and Gloria Sevilla will be shown at 4:35 PM. The day caps off with the “Celebration of the Lord’s Supper” at 11:10 PM.

More family-centered narratives await viewers on Good Friday in Judy Ann Santos’ “Esperanza: The Movie” at 10:10 AM and Gloria Romero’s “Tanging Yaman at 4 PM. The airing of “MMK” classics continue with “Kawayan” starring Joem Bascon and Louise Abuel at 8:30AM, “Luneta Park” with Long Mejia and Jairus Aquino at 12:20 PM, and “Kahon” which stars Nora Aunor and Joel Torre at 7:30 PM. “Seven Last Words” will also air at 9 PM.

Accounts of hope and faith continue on Black Saturday in “MMK’s” “Ilog” episode with Judy Ann and Ian de Leon at 7 PM, in the film “A Mother’s Story” led by Pokwang and Xyriel Manabat at 8:30 PM, and in the “Easter Vigil Mass” at 11:30 PM.

Meanwhile, “Kapamilya Journeys of Hope” led by ABS-CBN chaplain Fr. Tito Caluag will tackle various stories of inspiration together with his guests from Thursday to Saturday at 7:30 AM and 8:30 PM.
