Hit Drama ‘Paano Ang Pangako?’ Ends with Historic 5-Hour Finale Marathon on Black Saturday

To say that the five-hour finale of the hit Paano Ang Pangako? series is anything but a spectacle would be an understatement. The IdeaFirst Company is living up to its promise to deliver a strong finish for the viral hit teleserye that featured one of the biggest casts on television today.

Shot during the pandemic, at a time when productions have been scaling down, the series was home for acclaimed performers Maricel Laxa-Pangilinan, Bing Loyzaga, Beauty Gonzalez, Ricky Davao, Julia Clarete, Ejay Falcon, Elijah Canlas, Matt Evans, Allan Paule, John “Sweet” Lapuz, Devon Seron, Karel Marquez, Miles Ocampo, Desiree Del Valle, Adrianna So, Kyle Velino, Ahron Villena, Cedrick Juan, Mel Martinez and many more. All of them bring life to the story created by internationally awarded writer, director, and producer Jun Robles Lana. Behind the iconic scenes trending online with millions of viewers are the talent of directors Eric Quizon, Ricky Davao, and Perci Intalan who successfully introduced a whole level of complexity into the second season — the idea that you can hurt as much as you love the ones you treasure the most.

Intalan was overwhelmed with the reception of the series and expressed gratitude for the fans’ support of the show in pocket interviews recently held with select members of the cast. “The initial plan was to air a Christmas special through Paano Ang Pasko?, but fans and the network realized that the story was so rich it can go beyond 6 weeks, so we extended well into the first quarter of 2021 with Paano Ang Pangako?,” he shared.

Never before has a Pinoy teleserye ended with a 5-hour Finale Marathon on a Saturday. “This is our way of thanking the viewers for their unwavering support. This is the endgame between the Aguinaldo and Dominante-Cruz families, but for sure we will have viewers at the edge of their seats while they’re watching.” Intalan teased.

Be sure to catch the last few episodes of Paano Ang Pangako? on its regular airing schedule this Holy Week from Monday to Wednesday at 7:15pm and the special finale marathon on April 3, Black Saturday, from 2pm-7pm on TV5.
