BTS’ ‘Dynamite’ Breaks Record of BLACKPINK’s ‘How You Like That’ for Fastest MV to Reach 100-M Views

It’s official! BTS‘ “Dynamite” has broken BLACKPINK‘s record for fastest video to hit 100 million views on YouTube. The girl group’s MV for “How You Like That” which was released last June 26, 2020, held the record of 86.3 million views in 24 hours. It was erased by BTS as “Dynamite” registered 86.4 million views in 21 hours and finished 98.3 million views in 24 hourse and 27 minutes also making it the fastest music video to hit 100 million views in history.

Gone were the days when American pop artists are making these records in the global music industry because this year, even last year, k-pop groups BTS and BLACKPINK are the two artists reaching and breaking each other’s milestones.

If only BLACKPINK has a music video for “Ice Cream,” their collaboration with American Pop star Selena Gomez, then we’ll be waiting for another YouTube record to be broken. The single, by the way, will be released on August 28.
