South Korea’s no. 1 boyband BTS added another feather to their cap. After earning various accolades around the globe including Billboard Music Awards, Teen Choice Awards, MTV Europe Music Awards, Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards, and even Twitter’s Shorty Awards, the K-pop group topped the reader poll for TIME 100 Most Influential People in the World for 2018 which secured them a spot in the annual list and could possibly chosen by the TIME editorial team as “Person of the Year” and grace the magazine’s cover at the end of 2018. But of course, the group will face other giants like media mogul Oprah Winfrey, newly reelected Russian President Vladimir Putin, and American actor and advocate Meghan Markle, who is about to become the newest member of the British royal family.
The complete TIME 100 Most Influential People in the World for 2018 list will be revealed on April 19, 2018.
