The young stars of GMA Network's teleserye "My Destiny"--Ruru Madrid, Ashley Ortega and Gabrielle Garcia--had a fun chat with bloggers on Friday, July 31, at Baang Coffee, Tomas Morato.

Aside from Lucas (Tom Rodriguez), Grace (Carla Abellana), Joy (Rhian Ramos) and Jacob (Sid Lucero), there are other exciting characters in the Kapuso teleserye “My Destiny” like Paul Andrada, Alex Martinez and Nicole Perez which are being portrayed by young GMA Artist Center talents Ruru Madrid, Ashley Ortega and Gabrielle Garcia, respectively. The trio create a love triangle in the series that delights its younger viewers because of their “kilig” moments.

Paul Andrada (Ruru Madrid) finds himself rebelling due to his parents’ looming separation. More conflicts arise as his girlfriend Nicole Perez (Gabrielle Garcia)…

and Nicole’s best friend Alex Martinez (Ashley Ortega) are dragged in Paul’s occasional snafus. The love triangle begins when Nicole falls short as a girlfriend to Paul, failing to comfort him. Paul then confides to Alex, and they inevitably grow closer to each other.

During the blogcon, we asked the three stars of the possibility for them to become a love triangle in real life.

Ruru said “Tinatanong pa ba yan? (laughs) Hindi naman po maiiwasan ‘yun e.”

While Gabrielle agreed that it’s possible, Ashley replied with “friends lang kami ni Ruru saka sayang naman ‘yung friendship. Di ba sabi ni Grace kay Niño, kapag friends forever.”

The heartthrob reacted: “Bakit masasayang? Maganda nga ‘yun di ba ‘level up.’ Depende ‘yun.” And he also compared Gabby to a ‘santol’ and Ashley to a ‘green mango.’

We asked Ruru what’s his type for girls and he gave us three answers:

1. Babaeng mahal niya ang magulang niya
2. May takot sa Diyos
3. Hindi mas matangkad sa akin, mas maliit sa akin

However, since Ruru is a member of the religious sect Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC), he reiterated that his future girlfriend should be a member of INC, too.

Are Gabby and Ashley willing to change their religion for the sake of love?

“‘Di po natin masasabi kasi siguro masyado pang young ang pag-iisip ko for that. Kailangan pa po ng more experience bago ko masagot ang tanong na yan,” Gabrielle said.

“Masyado pa kaming bata siguro hindi pa masasabi na love ‘yun,” Ashley said.
