Tom Rodriguez Gets ‘Belofied’ at the Pink Party

"My Husband's Lover" star Tom Rodriguez was launched as a Belo endorser representing both sides of the male spectrum in line with the beauty expert Dr. Vicki Belo's advocacy for the LGBT community during the #BeloPinkParty held at Bed Manila in Mandaluyong City on December 13, 2013.

The country’s No. 1 beauty expert and doctor to the stars Dr. Vicki Belo has always been known not only for excellence in her area of medicine but more so for charting success rooted primarily on her unbridled generosity of heart and spirit.

Dr. Belo is the first person to revolutionize the country’s view on cosmetic medicine more than two decades ago. Introducing never before heard-of procedures and technologies not because she was chasing after fame and fortune, but more importantly because she knew then that the world has progressed by leaps and bounds in this field and she wanted her dear Philippines to be counted in the map of world class superiority in an industry that was right up her alley. That is the kind of generous spirit this amazing lady possesses and it hasn’t let up to this day.

She once again defies the norms. Her mission to break the stereotype of vanity charges on with her “Man Enough To Be Belofied” campaign launched recently. Celebrating diversity and promoting equality when it comes to the needs of our body – whether you are what the society calls a female, a male or someone in between.

From this snippet of wisdom, the Belo Pink Party came to life, aiming to celebrate the beauty and diversity of the 21st century man. It is true that beauty knows no gender, race, or culture. The Belo Medical Group (BMG) minces no words and eloquently expresses its generous support to the LGBT community best exemplified through the endorsement of its newest image model Tom Rodriguez who shot to fame via GMA Network’s highly-successful gender sensitive soap opera “My Husband’s Lover.”

With the success of his role as Vincent in “My Husband’s Lover,” Tom has become a household name. He says he feels blessed and extremely happy to be counted among the distinguished roster of stars inside the BMG family. And when asked how he pictures himself different from the other male endorsers, Tom quips, “I’m lucky to be representing both sides of the male spectrum, the Toms and also the Vincents. There’s nothing wrong with being a gay man. People will understand, people will accept you – if you accept yourself first.”

That, in a nutshell, is what the Belo Pink Party is all about. Belo Medical Group ends 2013 on a high note with this party. The celebration of diversity took place last December 13, Friday at Bed Manila. Guests comprised of media, celebrities, and Bed costumers, were entertained by fun performances from the impersonators of the company’s very own endorsers Anne Curtis, Toni Gonzaga, and Sarah Geronimo. The night even became more remarkably sweet when Tom Rodriguez serenaded the guests with two of his favorite songs. And of course, the King of the Night and his Princes undoubtedly shined as they were acknowledged and crowned for being the most fabulous guests in pink. It was a night about being open, free, and proud – definitely a one good party to remember.
