All proceeds of “Kwento ng Pasko: Pag-asa at Pagbangon: The 2013 ABS-CBN Christmas Special” will be donated to the Sagip Kapamilya calamity fund of ABS-CBN Foundation that continues to help rebuilding the lives of survivors from various calamity-stricken areas in the country.

The Christmas Special-turned-Solidarity Concert was graced by over 100 Kapamilya stars including world-class singers like Lea Salonga, Gary Valenciano, Martin Nievera, Lani Misalucha, Sarah Geronimo, and Angeline Quinto; news and current affairs personalities like Noli de Castro, Korina Sanchez, Ted Failon, Doris Bigornia and Boy Abuda; and TV and movie superstars like Anne Curtis, Vice Ganda, Piolo Pascual, Coco Martin, John Lloyd Cruz, Angel Locsin, Toni Gonzaga, among others.

The fundraising event further touched the hearts of viewers with the performance of Reo Band, a group composed of brothers from Tacloban City who were all affected by super typhoon Yolanda (international name: Haiyan). Reo Band’s medley of ‘The Beatles’ was the only production number that received a standing ovation from the Araneta Coliseum crowd.
