Alden Richards, Jasmine Curtis-Smith, and Tom Rodriguez are going to star in the upcoming primetime drama series on GMA Network titled “The World Between Us.”

This is the second time for Alden and Jasmine to work together in a series, their first team-up was in “I Can See You: Love on the Balcony” which only aired for a week as the first installment of the drama anthology. But unlike the mini-series which has a “light” romance story, “The World Between Us” is a hard-core drama series with speculations that it has a love triangle element, hence the addition of Tom Rodriguez in the lead. But according to reports, the main plot of the series revolves around a principled man who gets wronged by the people he considers as family, and how he goes through insurmountable odds just to carry the day.

The supporting actors in the series include veteran actresses Dina Bonnevie, Glydel Mercado, and Cannes Best Actress winner Jaclyn Jose. Other cast-members are not yet revealed. At the helm is Dominic Zapata, the Asian Television Awards nominee for Best Director for the gay-themed drama “My Husband’s Lover.”

The camera started rolling for “The World Between Us” as seen on the first-look photo of Alden (as Louie) and Tom (as Brian) above which was posted by talent manager Popoy Caritativo on Instagram.
