Food, Art and Fashion Collide in ‘Gourmet Masterpieces’
Megaworld Lifestyle Malls in partnership with the Asian Food Channel, Mega Magazine and Appetite, launched “Gourmet Masterpieces,” an Epic Summer event showcasing art-inspired concoctions followed by a fashion show featuring models wearing food-inspired creations.
Renowned chefs from dining establishments all over Megaworld Lifestyle Malls and Resorts World Manila presented their limited edition summer dishes based on their favorite art pieces. The result was a gallery of delectable plates, which guests were able to try at the launch.
“Megaworld Lifestyle Malls is known for its chef-driven restaurants; they are a big part of what makes the dining scene here so dynamic. This summer, we wanted to harness the creativity of the chefs through this innovative art-meets-food campaign. What they came up with is truly inspired and truly delicious and so we are inviting families to try these unique dishes, available only here this summer at Megaworld Lifestyle Malls,” said Kevin L. Tan, First Vice President and Commercial Division Head of Megaworld Corporation.
One of the gourmet masterpieces that caught the guests’ attention is this creation called “Filipino Delicacies” from Eastwood Richmonde Hotel:
It is an ensemble of popular Filipino desserts like sweet puto, pastillas and maja blanca inspired by the Philippine flag.
Another eye-popping creation is the “Almond Fish Gelatin” from King Chef.
This creation was made from popular Chinese dessert, the almond gelatin, inspired by a school of koi swimming in a pond with lotus.
And speaking of fish, this mouth-watering Deep Fried Lapu Lapu Xi Yian style dish with its colorful pomelo lemon dressing is perfect for health buffs. Check it out at Passion in Resorts World Manila and find out why this creation is a crowd favorite.
These are just a few of the artful dishes shoppers can experience at Megaworld Lifestyle Malls this summer. Food lovers can look for the Gourmet Masterpiece seal at dining establishments around Eastwood City, Lucky Chinatown, Newport Mall at Resorts World Manila, Burgos Circle at Forbes Town Center and Venice Piazza at Mckinley Hill to find out which restaurants are offering this season’s unique treat.
After the gastronomical feast, the guests were treated with another visual extravaganza via a fashion show featuring stunning models wearing food-inspired couture created by renowned Filipino designers like Jerome Salaya Ang, Avel Bacudio, Seph Bagasao, among others.
