Snooky Serna returns to Regal Films. In her new movie, She will play the role of Coco Martin's mother in the much-talked-about crossed-network collaboration of Coco and Marian Rivera.

Snooky Returns Home to Regal

It is public knowledge that Maria Milagros Serna, more popularly known as Snooky, is one of the original Regal Babies, launched 32 years ago via the film “Underage” and appearing in countless Regal hits and classics. Everybody also knows that Snooky is the ‘prodigal daugther’ of Mother Lily Monteverde if Regal Films. We’ll after 15 years, the original baby just returned home to her mother. One of the Regal Babies name Snooky Serna just went back home to her Mother Lily.

Snooky is now signing a contract with Regal Films, as well as managerial contract with a new management outfit, Growl Entrrtainment. With her new lease on her career, Snooky proves that she is a showbiz survivor, from being a phenomenal child star to popular teenstar and movie star, becoming an award-winning actress in her adulthood, capturing the eyes of the moviegoing public. The baby has returned home!

Q&A WITH SNOOKY SERNA:

What’s your role in this movie? What’s this movie about?

Snooky: I will play Coco Martin’s mother and if you will ask me what I feel about it, of course happy. First time kong makakasama sina Marian at Coco and sa amin na kahit sabihin mong artista din kami, well, meron din kaming paghanga sa kabataan ngayon and truthfully, isa na si Marian at Coco sa mga maraming kabataang artista na hinahangaan ngayon. Hindi lang dahil sa maganda’t gwapo, nakikita ko na ‘yung talent – andun talaga, in my humble opinion…

How does it feels na kasama mo si Marian at Coco for this movie? What can you say about the two?

S: I’ve not met them yet but sa mga nakikita ko sa kanila on TV, si Marian totoong tao. Parang ganun and I’ve heard from friends that she speaks with her mind out.. ganun! So I like that, I respect that and I hope that, sana ‘yung process ng pagtatrabaho namin together, maging maganda talaga ‘yung working relationship namin. Friendly ang atmosphere, iba kasi ang dating kapag magaan at saka excited ako siguro nga kasi I find Marian a good actress and she’s very daring. Hindi daring in the sense na nagbebare siya ng kanyang body. Hindi ‘yun e, daring ang mga roles na ginagampanan niya. Hindi siya takot gumanap na mandirigma, hindi siya takot na gumanap na parang silly-silly ‘yung role niya or sexy-sexy. Very versatile siya and si Coco naman ay ganun din. Natutuwa ako sa history ng career ni Coco. Parang natatouch ako na, kasi I love happy endings. Gusto ko ‘yung mga underdogs na nagwawagi sa bandang huli and nagfeel ko na parang ganun si Coco. Parang for the longest time, naiisantabi si Coco pero finally, may awa talaga ang Diyos kasi nakita talaga ang talento ng bata and napanood ko nga siya, nakita ko talaga na meron siyang karisma, talent… and so happy ako na maging part ako ng kanyang success at maging Ate nilang dalawa.

How does it feel that you’re back in the movies? in Regal Films?

S: I’m very happy! I feel so blessed not only because I am back sa Regal Entertainment per se pero I’m back home. I feel na para bang ang tagal naming nawalay ng nanay ko na para bang na para bang masayang nagkita kaming muli, reunited kami. ‘Yung ganung klaseng kaligayahan na hindi ko maexpressed in words ‘yung nararamdaman ko. I feel overwhelme with happiness and I really thank God for all the blessings na galing naman lahat sa kanya.

Any more projects for Snooky? Plans of Regal/Growl for Snooky?

S: I really don’t know what kasi ako talaga, release and trust lang talaga ako. I jump faith, trust, I let go and just believe completely. Sa awa ng Diyos, ‘eto na nga, binlessed na ako na magkaroon ulit ng chance para makapagtrabaho muli sa Regal Films & mamanage ng Growl Entertainment Inc. So ‘yung mga susunod na mangyayari, ganun pa rin siguro ang magiging attitude ko. I would just have to go by trust na alam kong hindi nila ako pababayaan. ‘Di naman siguro ako nila kukunin para pabayaan na lang, hindi naman ganun. May track record na rin kami ni Mother Lily. Mother Lily has always been my second mother talaga and Ms. Roselle has been my sister. The family has always been supportive to us – mga Regal Babies ni Mother noong araw tapos ngayon naulit na naman…

The still untitled movie of the much-talked-about crossed-network collaboration of Kapamilya Prime actor Coco Martin and Primetime Queen Marian Rivera is going to roll its cameras starting this month. Slated to be shown in theaters nationwide this year.
