"Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter" is an action-filled literary fusion of history and fiction.

Synopsis: Visionary filmmakers Tim Burton and Timur Bekmambetov reinvent the time-honored genre and present the terrifying creatures of the night as they were meant to be experienced — as fierce, visceral, intense and bloodthristy. Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter brings to the screen the secret life of our nation’s favorite president…as history’s greatest hunter of the undead. –20th Century Fox

The Positive: The stylish production design and accurate costumes are the strengths of this movie. The spectacle-filled action scenes are executed at a breathtaking pace. Benjamin Walker packs a punch in tackling his role as the axe-slaying President.

The Negative: The mash-up of history and fiction could have been brilliant on the big screen if the story has no plot holes and the tone is not overly serious. I’m waiting for witty punch lines from the main character and the vampires but there’s none.
