Never Run shares that the song is inspired by real-life couples, especially those in long-distance relationships. It talks about the whole “on and off” struggle and the determination of lovers to make it work.

It talks about “the bittersweet journey of love and longing, holding on while uncertain of the future” as said by Ferdail, Never Run’s vocalist.

Ferdail also came up with a hook for the song, and the band jumped right in to complete the demo song in just 2 hours, more or less. The band refined it continuously, resulting in a full-fledged song they’re now proud to share with the world.
