Ogie Alcasid, Moira dela Torre Collaborate for Praise & Worship Song ‘Beautiful’

Ogie Alcasid and Moira Dela Torre send a message about God’s majestic glory in the devotional song “Beautiful,” set to be released this Friday (August 14) under Star Music.

“It just came to me one day while I was playing some chords on the piano. The lyrics just started flowing as if the Lord was telling me that all that He has done for us is simply beautiful and glorious,” Ogie recalled.

Thesinger-songwriter said he started composing “Beautiful” in 2019 and asked Moira to collaborate with himon the song. But it wasn’t until the COVID-19 pandemic happened this year that things finally aligned for the track’s final version—which was mixed and reengineered by ABS-CBN Music creative director Jonathan Manalo.

“This pandemic has been the backdrop of this entire song. While we have been cooped up in our own houses, Jesus has been welcoming us to go back to Him. He has a plan and His plan is always beautiful,” Ogie added.

Moira also stressed how “Beautiful” turned out to be perfectly timely and powerful at this time. “It’s such an amazing reminder that despite all the storms, we serve a mighty and beautiful God who makes everything beautiful in His time,” she said.

The two recently teamed up with fellow Kapamilya artists to make a new version of the prayer song “Ililigtas Ka Niya” for the benefit of ABS-CBN’s “Pantawid ng Pag-Ibig” campaign. Ogie also recently did a collaboration with his wife Regine Velasquez and couple Jaya and Gary Gotidoc for the worship song “Live for Jesus.”

Ogie and Moira are just two of the gifted artists under ABS-CBN Music, which also houses many of the best OPM music of today.
