TV crossovers are not new. The Arrowverse is rife with it, with Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, and the Legends of Tomorrow occasionally walking into each others’ shows. Musical episodes are also not new, what with shows that revolve around music or the music industry. Musical crossovers however, are something not often seen on TV. That’s exactly what viewers will get on Wednesday, when Supergirl appears on the “Duet” episode of the “The Flash.”

Darren Criss

Here, the duo of The Flash and Supergirl go up against the Music Meister. The two heroes are brought into a coma by the Music Meister and the only way to escape is to stick to the script and make it to the end. The twist is they can’t use their powers.

Grant Gustin and Melissa Benoist, who play the Barry Allen a.k.a. The Flash and Kara Danvers a.k.a. Supergirl respectively, are not strangers to the musical format having been former cast members of the hit musical drama, “Glee,” which has since gone off the air. Fellow “Glee” alum Darren Chris will guest star as the notable villain for the musical episode.
