Sa nga nag-aabang ng post, para malinaw lang.
I did not give any permission to Baron para iihian si Ping, Hindi iyon ang eksena. Wala sa script, walang instruction.
His character, the temper and demeanor was explained to him.
He told Ping, seconds before take, may gagawin ako, wag ka magagalit.
Direk may gagawin ako, may nadinig kami sampal. Akala namin iyon na yun.
Again, nag-rehearse kami kasi nga no monitor, at di uubra. Outpost tried different approaches pero di umubra.
It happens, you shoot a scene without monitor.
Do not tell me na walang ganun.
This will be my last post re this incident.
There are always many sides to a story but everyone of us who were there knew what you did Baron.
You knew you crossed the line.
A sincere apology without excuses is how true men handle this kind of situation.
Lalake akong kausap, if you know what I mean and with apologies to my fellow women.
You said idol at kaibigan mo si Ping.
He doesn’t need any aid or push for that scene to work.
Paa mo lang nakita sa scene.
It was his scene and you have yours. Ganun talaga ang pelikula at buhay, hindi lahat ng gusto mo masusunod.
Magbibigay ka. Makikisama ka, uunawa ka.
Sabi mo hastag mahal kita. You cannot deny I supported your efforts to reform. I cheered for your small steps of trying to be sober.
Kung you kept your word na di ka iinom, di mo gagawin ang ginawa mo. You are OK when you are sober. I saw and experienced a sober Baron, respectful but a different person when drunk.
Hindi ka makulit equivalent to one squad ang bilang.
Mahalin mo sarili mo Baron and know that you are God’s creation. Marami ang nagmamahal sa Iyo. Nina for one has sacrificed a lot for you.
Nobody is perfect.
I felt your sincerity in wanting to reform kaya nga tulungan pa kita mag-apologize kay Susan Enriquez na binastos mo weeks ago but she kept silent.
Gusto mong lagi ka pag-usapan?
Now , it’s out. Sinabi din pala ni Susan kay Arnold Clavip.
I am not changing the topic, but you wanted to apologize not because you felt bad. You are scared you won’t get any projects from GMA-7.
Apology works only when it’s from the heart.
I didn’t know I hired you as Marketing Manager for the film. You are so perfect for the job.
Now #Bubog is so hot. Should I say thank you?
I think we will have a regular screening because of this marketing genius of yours. Thank you ha!
Scriptwriter ka na, marketing manager pa.
Teka, mag anchor na ako….

It’s easy to speculate on why what it happened when you were not there especially if you have not seen me at work on the set, especially if you do not know the requirements of that one crucial scene which I demanded from the very beginning.

In the script and verbally, that was explained over and over to him. “this is your character. Papatay kayo na parang wala lang kaya nga lumpia, Inihaw at bopis ang topic ng usapan while binabalot yung katawan ng character played by Ping.

It was to show contrast, disconnect to what was happening and what was being said by the persons involved, Walang galit dapat. The way of the syndicate—pumapatay nang walang bagabag.

May mga scenes na malikot, masikip. magulo, execution, based on the flow of the scene. Tuhog yun. Di namin kinablehan for monitor…yes walang monitor kasi makikita sa camera and lahat ng shadow at kable …clear namin kasi floor scene, paa kinukunan, ng mga nag-drag at nag buhat kay Ping. We rehearsed and I acted or demonstrated to my actors what each of them should be doing to make that scene work and to be able to send the message that I wanted to relay.

He knew I focused on his execution of the role, explained to him where the character is coming from because I do not want a shade of Baron in the acting of Baron here…not the usual.

Sabi ko,they should see a different Baron and when he listens, he gets the idea….especially when sober.

But throughout that day, he was already drunk and groggy with the anti-depressant pills that he took. He saw how I work on the set, and he knew how he was treated—by everyone, even when he was already using foul languages and did other things on the tent, as later relayed to me by other production staff. Ikukuwento ko pa ba ginawa mo sa tent? Alam mo kung ano ginawa mo.

There was an earlier scene before this, and u believe, it was where something changed in him or something was triggered in him.

Ping stole the scene, and another one too, a non-actor by the way. He knew it, I think he felt it.

He wanted to redeem himself in the next scene. The question on whether bida ba si Ping was I believe a factor. He wanted to stand out. There was a clear sense of someone who wants validation, applaud and affirmation that he is good at his craft. It’s human nature, but his was something that comes with a deeper sense of insecurity and I am not being a psychologist here now, in fact I am trying to understand where he came from when he pulled that act.

In Ping’s words, nilamon n\ya sa eksena si Baron because he was too conscious of the characterization that he has in mind that he even wanted me to write a dual role for him…not happening of course. Over-thinking the scene.

Baron I believe needs approval of people, Nina, his girlfriend told me, “Gusto n’ya lang na -impress kayo kasi in character siya”. But the problem is, it was not the character of his character and we rehearsed—Kung may improvisation man sa character niya, it was not to show anger or disrespect. May kailangan lang patayin dahil yun utos, yun paraan ng mga nasa sindikato.

Besides, paa Lang niya hagip and it was meant that way, and reveal lang sana face nya when alisin packaging tape sa bibig, then Ping will beg for his life, and he would just stare supposedly.

Again,it’s easy to speculate when you were not there or have no idea how I work in the set with my production team.

I respect your speculations. It’s an easier and more comfortable route,

Bottom line—even Baron said after the heat of that incident, “naintindihan ko po kung tanggalin ninyo na character ko.”

On the set—in my mind—pinatay ko na agad at alam ko na kung paano itatawid.

When you apologize, you do not make other excuses.

We understand you….you are just being you.

It’s all about you.

Ownership is a virtue and you knew, I believe, it was even in your calculation that we all end up in this controversy. You wanted this….again-the attention, the headlines.

There are people who respect you and gave you all the openness to be what you said you really are…there are shades of that person,,,especially when you are not drunk.

You need to be treated for alcoholism and aren’t you taking too much of those anti-depressant pills?
