WATCH: Colombians Burn Pia Wurtzbach’s Effigy
The video of some Colombians burning the effigy of Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach and Miss Universe 2015 host Steve Harvey during New Year’s Eve draws flak.
After the Miss Universe blunder committed by its host Steve Harvey, some Noider Almanza Barraza from Colombia posted a video on Facebook showing the burning of Wurtzbach and Harvey’s effigies has been circulating online and drawing flak from netizens around the world.
It’s not yet confirmed, however, if the uploader is connected to Alfredo Barraza, the Colombian fashion designer (friend of Stella Marquez Araneta) who has been creating the evening gowns and national costumes of Miss Universe Philippines through the years. It’s interesting to note that Wurtzbach is the first Philippine delegate to the Miss Universe pageant in years to wear a Filipino-made evening gown and national costume.

Many of the Colombians who were at the coronation night for Miss Universe are sure sore losers. They cannot accept the mistake and their candidate lost to Miss Philippines.
