Maine Mendoza’s Twitter Account Hacked by ‘Anonymous Philippines’
The Twitter account of Maine Mendoza, a.k.a. Yaya Dub of Eat Bulaga’s #KalyeSerye, was hacked early Tuesday morning, November 3, 2015.
The hacker introduced themselves as “Anonymous Philippines” and they promised to restore the account soon. @mainedcm is currently the no. 1 fastest-growing Twitter profile in the Philippines and no. 4 in the world.
“Sorry po if napadaan kami sa account ni yayadub, ibabalik din namin to sa tunay na may-ari…” they tweeted using Maine’s account which now has 2.4 million followers.
Anonymous Philippines is known for hacking the website of the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) last year. They are also responsible for hacking 195 Chinese websites to send a message of disgust on disputed territories in the South China Sea.
