There is no doubt that Alden Richards is the man of the hour, the most precious Kapuso property today, and quite possibly the hottest actor ATM (at the moment). He is just 50% of the sensational “AlDub” love team which dailies now call a phenomenon but he has already proved many things in his career as a dramatic actor, a comedian, a recording artist, a fashion model, and even as host.

With the sky-high popularity that he is currently enjoying, we can’t help but wonder: is Alden Richards the reason why the ABS-CBN noontime show “ASAP 20” is losing from his show “Sunday PinaSaya” in Kantar Media and AGB Nielsen’s National and Mega Manila TV ratings?

Well, in my opinion, Alden is not the ONLY reason why the game-changing Kapuso Sunday noontime show is winning the ratings game.

Here are three other reasons why:

Sunday PinaSaya boasts of a powerhouse cast of multi-talented stars which include the Comedy Queen AiAi delas Alas, the Primetime Queen Marian Rivera, ace comedians Wally Bayola and Jose Manalo, Asia’s Pop Darling Julie Anne San Jose, Sexy covergirl Valeen Montenegro, acclaimed stage actor Jerald Napoles, Kapuso teenstar Barbie Forteza, and award-winning gay actor Joey Paras.

2. Sunday PinaSaya is packed with LOL-worthy and kilig overload segments that changed the game in Sunday noontime show programming.

3. Sunday PinaSaya has a fun celebrity showdown segment: ‘KANTARIRIT’ which some columnists call “fresh” and “original” concept in a Sunday noontime show.

Needless to say, the rival show made some changes in their usual programming which is quite similar to some segments of Sunday PinaSaya–proof that the Kapuso noontime show succeeded in making a viewership revolution.

So it’s not just because of Alden.
