Michael Phelps, the most bemedalled athlete in the history of the Olympics, posed in trunks for a Louis Vuitton ad.

His swimming career may be over but Phelps is back in trunks, and with his goggles, and in the water but this time to endorse a fancy Louis Vuitton bag.

The champion swimmer was photographed by Annie Leibovitz for the ad campaign featuring the most successful Olympian sitting in a bathtub with his LV tote beside him.

The 27-year-old American swimmer has retired after collecting 22 Olympic gold medals (including the 4 golds he won at the London Olympics) throughout his career. His future plan: Travel the world and learn how to play golf.
