50 Cent vs. Oprah Word War Finally Ends After 6 Years

50 Cent vs. Oprah Winfrey: A word war between the two celebrities finally came to an end after 6 years.

During the “Oprah’s Next Chapter” telecast on the cable channel OWN last Sunday, June 10, 50 Cent, also known as Curtis Jackson in real life, made amends to Oprah Winfrey for their 6-year feud which started when the TV mogul repeatedly criticized him for using the N-word in his rap songs. And putting more wood to the fire, 50 Cent named his bitch (female dog) “Oprah.”

On the said episode, Oprah Winfrey visited the rapper in his grandparents’ home in Queens, New York City, where the two hashed out their past conflict.

Oprah said that she would take it as a compliment naming his dog after her, but she knows it wasn’t intended that way in the beginning.

“That was not a compliment. I heard you had a bitch named Oprah,” she said.

50 Cent told her why:

“At the time, I was just looking at the situation, and I saw I was developing negative feelings for someone who doesn’t even know me…and I gave it to the dog,” the rapper explained.

“I would see moments when you would discuss your feelings on the culture, and everything that was wrong with the culture was what was on my CD, and I was like, ‘Oh, she doesn’t like me. I was saying, ‘If I can’t be your friend, at least let me be your enemy, so I coexist,’” he added.

The two celebrities agreed to let bygones be bygones.

50 Cent considered his intimate conversation with the Queen of Talk a “huge milestone” in his life.
