Rihanna is Now the Top Selling Digital Artist of All Time

Rihanna bested the Black Eyed Peas, Eminem and Lady Gaga for the title "Top Selling Digital Artist" on Nielsen SoundScan's all-time list.

The singer of “We Found Love,” “Umbrella,” and “California King Bed” has sold a whopping 47.5 million digital downloads from July 4, 2004 to January 1, 2012 off her 6 albums during the said period.

Her closest contenders were the Black Eyed Peas, Eminem and Lady Gaga, who have each sold in the 42 million range. Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Lil Wayne, Beyonce, Kanye West, and Britney Spears complete the top 10 list.

Despite the feat, however, Rihanna did not place on the Top Ten Selling Digital Songs of All Time.

The Black Eyed Peas‘s “I Got A Feeling” emerged as the top selling digital song with 7.6 million sales, and “Boom Boom Pow” is No. 4 with 6.2 million sales. Lady Gaga‘s “Poker Face” and “Just Dance” captured the no. 2 and no. 3 slots, respectively.
