Rey "Boom Boom" Bautista defeated Mexican Miguel Angel Mendoza via a knock out during the sixth round of the main event of Pinoy Pride X at the Hoops Dome in Cebu Saturday night.

Charismatic Filipino featherweight fighter Rey “Boom Boom” Bautista defended his IBF featherweight title against Mexican fighter Miguel Angel Mendoza during the main event of “Pinoy Pride 10” on December 10, Saturday, at the Hoops Dome in Lapu-Lapu City.

Bautista knocked out Mendoza by a left hook during the sixth round and served as the Mexican’s first career loss.

Bautista’s boxing record improved to 32-2 (24 knockouts), while Mendoza dropped to 17-1-1 (17 knockouts).

The scores are 69-65, 68-65 and 68-65 in favor of the Filipino boxing champ.
