Gwendolyn Ruais is Not Pressured by the Good Showing of Miss Universe Third Runner-Up Shamcey Supsup
In an interview by “News To Go” on GMA News TV, Gwendolyn Ruais was asked if she is feeling the pressure by the good showing of Shamcey Supsup in the recently-concluded Miss Universe pageant.
“Actually she’s my friend, so hindi naman pressured. More of encouragement na sana gawin ko ring proud ‘yung Philippines,” the 21-year-old Half-Pinay Half-French beauty queen said.
Standing at 5’11” tall, Gwendolyn is aiming to win the first Miss World crown for the Philippines this November in London.
The closest the country has ever gotten to the crown was in 1966 when Evangeline Pascual won first runner-up, and in 1993 when Ruffa Gutierrez won second runner-up.
