65,000 calls made by a woman in Netherlands over the phone to her alleged ex-boyfriend put her in a serious trouble.

An astounding 65,000 phone calls in the past year were reportedly made by a 42-year-old Dutch woman to a 62-year-old man from Holland who was left with no option but to report the incident to the police, international news reported.

The Dutch Woman, who was charged of stalking, was arrested by the Police on Monday in Rotterdam and seized cell phones and computers from her home. The prosecution spokeswoman Nicolette Stoel said that the woman’s argument at the preliminary hearing was that she has a relationship with the man and that the number of calls that she committed were just appropriate and were not excessive at all.

The man, however, denied their relationship.

According to Jeff Glor of “The Early Show,” the alleged stalker called the man 1,250 times a week, 178 times a day or about once every eight minutes.

The court now prohibits the woman stalker from contacting the man again or else face more serious charges.
