The stars of the National Basketball Association (NBA) led by Kobe Bryant won over our very own Smart Gilas team during the exhibition game last Sunday, July 24, at the Araneta Coliseum. The score was 98-89 in favor of Bryant’s team and the single digit difference has impressed the basketball superstar.

The NBA All-Stars hammered Smart Gilas from the first to 3rd quarter. However, the national team rallied in the 4th quarter boosted by JV Casio’s 11 points in the period.

Smart Gilas, however, ran out of time and were unable to catch-up to the NBA stars. They however, made the visitors’ lead to a single digit difference which is a good feat nevertheless.
