Ashton Kutcher to Replace Charlie Sheen on ‘ Two and a Half Men’?
The answer: 2.5. Some of his 6 million plus followers are now speculating the Kutcher might fill the gap left by Charlie Sheen’s departure from the hit comedy series.
CBS, the TV network that airs the sitcom, and Warner Bros., the studio where the show is produced, are mum about the matter.
Charlie Sheen, who portrays the role of Charlie Harper in Two and a Half Men, was reportedly earning $2 million per episode. He is currently the highest-paid actor on television until on February 28, 2011, during a national television interview in his home, Sheen publicly demanded a salary raise and demanded for $3 million per episode of Two and a Half Men, claiming that in comparison to the amount that the series is making, he is “underpaid.”
On March 7, 2011, CBS and Warner Bros. fired Sheen from Two and a Half Men. The official statement read: “After careful consideration, Warner Bros. Television has terminated Charlie Sheen’s services on Two and a Half Men effective immediately.”
Producers are now looking for a replacement for Sheen to keep one of TV’s highest-rated sitcoms on the air for another year. Is Ashton Kutcher the one?
