Randy Jackson said “Who is in it to win at this point. You got to bring it hard and that was so safe and boring. There had to be a better song for you to sing.”

Steven Styler said “I love you and I love your voice. I would love it if you would just Boot Scoot a bit more.”

Jennifer Lopez said “I love your story telling quality to singing. Its time to pull out the big guns. You need to go past your comfort zone. We were expecting more.”

Jennifer’s right. I think Scotty is playing it safe by sticking to what he knows best and that is singing country music. Why doesn’t he take risk just like Stefano taking on a Ne-Yo song (I thought “Closer” was an Usher song, my bad), which contrary to what the judges thought, didn’t quite work. I wonder what it will sound like if Scotty sings “Closer.” Anyway, I’m sure he’s safe for playing it safe.
