TV5’s Official Statement Regarding ‘Willing Willie’
Here is the official statement of TV5 regarding this matter:
TV5, with the cooperation of Mr. Willie Revilame and WilProductions, Inc., has decided to stop the airing of the Willing Willie show for a period of 2 weeks starting April 11, 2011.
During this period, TV5 will dialogue and work with the MTRCB, KBP, PANA and other stakeholders to come up with appropriate guidelines that will apply to all networks and the entire industry with respect to the participation or use of children in talent, game and reality shows for television. TV5 will also complete the improvement of its internal guidelines and processes to achieve the same end.
Furthermore, the network will work with Mr. Willie Revillame and WilProductions, Inc. in order to improve the program and ensure that it will continue to bring fun and entertainment to its many loyal viewers.
TV5 reiterates its commitment to responsible broadcasting and vows to continuously enhance its programs as its way of serving the public and thanking its viewers for their unceasing support, trust and patronage.
Beginning Monday, April 11, TV5 will show “Primetime Super Sine” and “Magic? Gimik!” in the “Willing Willie” timeslot.

mali ang paglipat,, mali ang paraan,, kya puro male ang kinalabasan,, ang lakas nang loob mong magpatutsada sa mga nag comment syo na artista,, pero ikaw panay bira ka nman sa abs,, patilan ka kya nang 2????? umpisa pa lang yan,, pati mga tao cnsama mo sa laban mo,, kaw nlang willie,, lalu mo nmna pina mumukha sa knla na poor cla at robot mo cla,, kaw na lang wag mo na clang UTUIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’m confused why they singled out janjan’s dancing in willing willie when in fact there’s a lot of tv programs in other tv networks showing unbecoming acts of children just to get the nods of the judges. For instance, the 8 year old girl who was belly dancing during the audition of Pilipinas Got Talent Season2. The girl was wearing a bra, her entire tummy exposed, her face and hair fully made up to make her look older as she danced seductively to the music. She got a “yes” vote from the 3 judges for this. Unfortunately, nobody tweeted against it. At least janjan was fully clothed when he danced. And for the info of those who were not able to see the whole episode of willing willie, the boy did not cry because he was forced to dance, he cried when he saw bonel balingit standing beside him, and who wouldn’t be? balingit is such a huge man. I bet most of you only saw a segment of the show which was maliciously posted in youtube, thus the hasty conclusion. Indeed, too little info is damaging if one has a motive.
If we are really serious in protecting our children’s rights, the rules should apply to all other tv shows. Singling out one tv show is discriminating and only confirms the suspicion of many that there’s something fishy about this case. For me using an innocent boy just to get back at someone is what constitutes child abuse. If janjan had only dance in Eat Bulaga or in any ABS CBN show, I’m sure nobody would give a damn!
To those artists, politicians and so called champions of children’s rights, instead of just blaming the parents and show organizers, should have analyzed the root cause on why janjan and other kids like do what they do. As role models and legislators of this country, what have you done to prevent such acts. Or are we all being hypocrites here?

good that willie’s show is currently off air, what he did was wrong! he knows it same with his production crew who says that they did nothing wrong?! i was a fan of his but after he threatened abs and also got super bigheaded i lost interest in him! he’s a J******!!!! him threatening the other celebs who are tweeting against him at least they are famous in there own way and are intelligent as supposed to d***** willie!!!

the mtrcb should permanently ban and remove the program..the incident entails major sanctions..and the best thing to do is suspend the host and REMOVE the program PERMANENTLY..
the network must be penalized according to the law..the sooner, the better..
