‘My Amnesia Girl’ Earns P43.86M in 1st 5 Days
Although the Toni Gonzaga-John Lloyd Cruz starrer failed to top the local box office last weekend period of November 24 to 28, it managed to haul a very descent P43.86 million despite the presence of Harry Potter which is posed to become the highest-grossing Hollywood movie in the Philippines for 2010.
The figure came from third party tabulator Box Office Mojo and based only from 90 major movie screens in the country which means around 15 to 25 theaters in the provinces were not yet accounted for. This also means the Star Cinema rom-com movie could have earned around P50 to P60 million for the said period.
Here’s the Philippine box office tally for the opening weekend of November 24 to 28, 2010 according to Box Office Mojo (premiering movies are highlighted in yellow):

43.86 M, weekend gross lang po yan.. so that’s from Nov. 24-28 or 5 days. Harry Potter is a worldwide phenomenon. you cannot compare it to MAG. Harry Potter is no. 1 nationwide, meaning kahit sinong katapat ng Harry Potter Nationwide, flop? Are you sure YOU REALLY KNOW what’s the meaning of the word FLOP?

e 5 days pa lang 43.86 na ung kinita, pinipilahan pa rin ngayon, e for sure, dun sa 43.86M, kumita na sila kasi dito lang naman nagshoot sa manila ung movie, so maliit lang talaga ung production cost.

100 M sabi mismo SNN/ABS/SC exaggerated naman ito ng sobra…sa BOM lang ako maniniwala kc yan ang standard…tingnan nyo yung list sa taas puro yan galing sa BOM dapat yung kinita ng MAG dapat galing din sa BOM para maicompare natin sa mga list na nasa taas.
