‘Patrol ng Pilipino’ Unearths True Stories from Mt. Bulusan to Maguindanao

The country was rocked by two big news events last week—the possible eruption of a volcano in Sorsogon and the surrender of a Maguindanao Massacre suspect who volunteered to witness against the Ampatuans.

Among those closely following the activity of Mt. Bulusan was ABS-CBN reporter Jeff Canoy, who saw for himself how residents flocked for safety when Phivolcs raised the alert number to one. If the volcano continues to churn out ash, it’s possible that it will lead to an eruption that would affect more people.

Meanwhile, after almost a year since the horrific Maguindanao Massacre, Canoy’s fellow reporter Jorge Cariño returned to the province to check on the latest on the on-going court case against the Ampatuan family and other individuals. Cariño will also find out how the case will be affected by the surrender of one of the suspects.

Behind the scenes, Jeff Canoy and Jorge Cariño were there to capture the stories often missed in swift reports but would show the complete truth. Catch their full coverage of the issues this Tuesday (Nov 16) on “Patrol ng Pilipino” after Bandila on ABS-CBN.
