Miss World’s Beach Beauty competition, the first of 5 fast-track events, happened today at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Sanya, China. The 40 semi-finalists for Beach Beauty competed for the title vying for the first slot in the Top 25.
The Top 40 were trimmed down to the Top 20. The 20 were trimmed down to Top 5 where Puerto Rican beauty Yara Liz Santiago emerged as winner.
The Top 5 are (from left to right) Miss China Xiao Tang (4th), Miss United States Alexandria Mills (2nd), Miss Puerto Rico Yara Lasanta (Winner), Miss Norway Mariann Birkedal (3rd) and Miss French Polynesia Mihilani Teixiera (5th).
Meanwhile, our very own Czarina Gatbonton is hoping to win the “Beauty with a Purpose” fast-track event in Miss World
2010 in order to secure a spot in the Top 25.
