Cory Quirino Gives Up the Miss World Philippines Franchise
During a period of six years when Cory Quirino acquired the Miss World franchise, the Philippines won its first Miss World crown courtesy of Megan Young in 2013. Aside from the first win, Quirino’s company “Cory Quirino Global Quest, Inc.” also produced a 1st runner up in 2011, 3rd runner up in 2016 and 3 semi-final placements in Miss World and 1st runner up in Mister World.
Now, Quirino announced that she will relinquish the Miss World franchise.
Is this connected to the questionable result of Miss World 2016 where the heavy favorite and best performer Catriona Gray did not win?
