GMA's newest primetime series "First Time" had its first two successful nights, Monday and Tuesday, by trumping its rival show "Tanging Yaman."

First Time replaced the teleserye Ikaw Sana while Tanging Yaman replaced Katorse. Back in the time when Katorse and Ikaw Sana are the rival programs in the pre-primetime block, the Erich Gonzales-starrer was a consistent top-rater not only in the TNS national tv ratings but also in AGB’s Mega Manila survey as well.

Tanging Yaman continued the success of Katorse when it premiered last month. However, with the premiere and second episode of GMA’s latest program, First Time, it looks like Tanging Yaman will be having more difficulties in the Mega Manila primetime race in the days to come.

Here are the comparative TV ratings of ABS-CBN and GMA-7 programs last February 8, based on the overnight ratings of AGB Nielsen Philippines among Mega Manila households:
