Boxer Nonito Donaire and swimmer Miguel Molina were named 2007 Athletes of the Year by the Philippine Sportswriters Association (PSA).

The 23-year-old Molina bagged the Overall Best Male Athlete award of the 24th Southeast Asian Games in Thailand last December 2007 after winning 4 gold medals for the country.

The 25-year-old Donaire snatched the International Boxing Federation (IBF) and International Boxing Organization (IBO) world flyweight crown from previously unbeaten champion Vic Darchinyan of Australia in their world title fight in Connecticut, USA.

Other honorees include Donnie Nietes, AJ Banal, John Baylon, Manny Pacquiao and Ronato Alcano among others.
