Priscilla Perales was a semi-finalist in the Miss Universe pageant last year that’s why she’s the top favorite to win in the 47th Miss International. She is the first Mexican to win the Japan-based beauty pageant.

Our candidate Nadia Lee Shami didn’t place in the Top 15. It’s the second year in a row that Philippines didn’t place since Precious Lara Quigaman won the title last 2005.

The Philippines won a total of 4 Miss International crowns in the 47 years of the pageant.

This is the first time Belarus joined the pageant and placed 2nd runner-up at the same time.
