‘Philippines, Filipinos’ Mentioned on Will and Grace (Again)

I'm trying to finish the whole season 8 of Will and Grace (the final season) this whole holiday week till Monday and came across this episode when the terms "Philippines" and "Filipinos" were mentioned once again. I hate it when they try to have clever scripts by inserting some negative connotations about other races or places. Just like in one episode of One Tree Hill when Lucas Scott got a tattoo, his uncle Keith was worried and said "where did you get that? In some back alley in the Philippines?" Anong palagay nila sa Pilipinas, lugar ng mga unhygienic tattoo parlors? In Veronica Mars, there's an episode about Veronica being clueless about Manila paper and where in the world is Manila where that paper's name came from but she used the term "Filipina whore." For me, it doesn't need sarcastic inserts to make a clever script. Grey's Anatomy have clever dialogues and they don't offend anybody's race or country di ba? This time on Will and Grace, Karen Walker has a slightly positive citation about Filipinos regarding his husband Stanley's business trip in the Philippines. Watch the video and decide if it's positive or negative...

Karen Walker: “He’s on a business trip in the Philippines. I like Filipinos. They’re Asians but they’re not cocky about it.”
