Nameless Kids explores the different dynamics of relationships in the band’s sophomore album “dinner4two,” reflecting how people show up for one another or fail amid the complexities and expectations of relationships.
Band members Nhiko Sabiniano, Kim Allen, and Imay Cortes began working on the album in 2024 and marked it as their first music project after becoming a trio. The album, released under ABS-CBN Music International, features nine tracks “parachute,” “call back,” “cars,” “ala bang,” “kibo,” and their previous singles “sinungaling,” “kuha mo na,” “temporary,” and “mental” with Cesca.
The album’s carrier single “call back” talks about being available for someone who is unresponsive and only reaches out when they feel not okay. Nhiko wrote the song during a songwriting camp in Davao in 2024.
The band previously set the stage for “dinner4two” with “sinungaling,” which captures the emotional push and pull of a budding romance. The band followed it with “kuha mo na,” a song about falling for someone despite trying to guard one’s heart, which has garnered over 1.3 million streams on Spotify. Meanwhile, “mental” explored the lingering emotions after a breakup and the fixation on seeing a former partner move on with someone new.
Since emerging in 2020 with their debut single “Outlaws,” Nameless Kids has continued to carve out its place in the local music scene with its distinct sound and introspective songwriting. The band released its debut EP “Shoes out the Door!” in 2021, followed by the fan-favorite tracks “Sayo (Ang Mundo)” and “Gabi,” both of which have surpassed three million streams on Spotify. In 2023, the group further established its musical identity with its debut album “Manila in Bloom,” featuring “Hotel Runs” and “Bukas Na Lang.”
