Resorts World Manila, the country's one-stop, nonstop tourism destination assembles yet another roster of world-class talents for its anniversary concert series "Thrillapalooza" all throughout August.

Thrilla Palooza

Ever since Woodstock, music festivals have been all the rage and continue to make waves all over the world. Lollapalooza, Coachella, and Bonnaroo in the US, Glastonbury in the UK, and Rock in Rio in Brazil—these annual events have made an impact on today’s generation of music lovers with their consistency in delivering only the best acts.

Locally, only one destination stands out in orchestrating such unique music festivals that guarantees to wow its guests. Fresh from its multi-genre concert series Musikat Jam last summer, Resorts World Manila (RWM), the country’s one-stop, nonstop tourism destination assembles yet another roster of world-class talents for its anniversary concert series “Thrillapalooza” all throughout August at the Newport Mall Plaza. What’s special about Thrillapalooza aside from boasting a host of performers to cater to every music lover’s taste is the fact that it is absolutely free!

Offering doses of soul, R&B, retro, pop, acoustic, and even comedy, “Thrillapalooza” kicks-off with the classic tandem of Jaya and Mr. Janno Gibbs on August 2; 80’s superstar balladeers Raymond Lauchengco, Gino Padilla, and Randy Santiago take us back in time as they take center stage on August 9; prolific songwriter Jay Durias teams up with up and coming star Angeline Quinto for a rare concert on August 10; and pop idols Erik Santos and True Faith perform on August 16.

More exciting performances ensue as Nyoy Volante goes back to back with Renz Verano on August 17; the wacky duo of Wally and Jose of Eat Bulaga fame gets the crowd laughing on August 23; while premier vocal group The Company and Mark Mabasa render their most famous hits onstage on August 24.

Capping off the “Thrillapalooza” musicfest on the last week of August will be boy-next-door pop artist Markki Stroem together with acoustic muse Princess Velasco on August 30. The OPM Hitmen comprising of Richard Reynoso, Rannie Raymundo, Chad Borja, and Renz Verano finally ends the month-long concert series when they perform on August 31.

“Thrillapalooza” is just one reason for thrillseekers to flock to Resorts World Manila this August as the integrated lifestyle hub celebrates its anniversary with “Thrillathon”—a three-and-a-half month fete stretching until November. Fun-filled events, shows, a host of exciting offerings, and more free concerts at Resorts World Manila await guests who are looking to be thrilled like no other.
