Pinoy Ultimate Jeepney (PUJ) art contest, one of Resorts World Manila’s (RWM) CSR programs, launches its second year with the theme “Celebrating Philippine Icons” this August 2013.

Taking off from last year’s “Grand Fiesta On The Road” theme, PUJ continues its initiatives to revive the prominence of the Philippine jeepneys through restoration efforts to revamp and enliven jeepney units in Pasay City en route to Nichols Ikot.

PUJ competition is open to all. Submission of concept board entries is now open until September 30, 2013. Design templates must be rendered in colored pencils.

The criteria for the submitted design entries are 30% for Originality, 30% for Cultural Authenticity, 20% for Aesthetic Quality, and 20% for the Functionality of the Design.

The announcement of the 13 shortlisted entries will be on October 3, 2013, wherein each entry will be awarded seed money of P60,000.00 for the full-scale painting and modification. The announcement of the winning PUJ entry will be on December 20 via the RWM website, with P100,000.00 grand prize at stake.

The PUJ exhibit at Resorts World Manila is slated from November 22, 2013 to January 1, 2014.
