Fast and Furious premiered in the Philippines two days ahead in the US and raked in P26.45 million to top the local box-office.

The 4th of the car-racing franchise also topped the box-office in other countries like Austria, Denmark, Germany, Greece, Israel, Malaysia, Mexico, Norway and Thailand among others.

The action film starring Vin Diesel and Paul Walker now holds the record for the biggest debut this year, beating Monsters and Aliens just a week ago. Its total box-office haul worldwide is $102.6 million last weekend.

Placing second in Philippine theaters is Monsters and Aliens which raked-in P10.24 million on its 2nd week followed by erstwhile leader Knowing with P9.54 million.

Local horror movie Sundo starring Robin Padilla earned P7.16 million last weekend adding to the film’s 3-weeks gross of P44,774,631.12 million.

The monster hit movie You Changed My Life from Star Cinema ended its 6th week run with a smashing total of P225,587,454.70 million.
