Roman Romulo Tells Shalani Soledad: ‘It Took Me 44 Years to Find You’

Roman Romulo, during his wedding with Shalani Soledad on Sunday, declared that he finally found happiness.

Pasig Representative Roman Romulo, 44, tied the knot with Valenzuela City Councilor Shalani Soledad, 31, last Sunday (January 22, 2012) at the St. Benedict Church at Ayala Westgrove, Sta. Rosa., Laguna.

“It took me 44 years to find you. I have found you, Shalani. I have found happiness. I will love you forever,” Romulo said during the exchange of vows.

“I promise to love you from now on until forever,” Soledad replied.

The power couple sealed their marriage with a kiss around 6:30 p.m.

Among the principal sponsors in the wedding were Senator Panfilo Lacson and Corazon Ong, Foreign Affairs Secretary Albert del Rosario and Gretchen del Rosario, San Miguel Corp. president Ramon Ang and Bettina Aboitiz, PLDT and TV-5 chairman Manuel Pangilinan and Norma Ona, clothing tycoon Ben Chan and Janet Napoles, Emilio Yap and former Las Pinas representative Cynthia Villar, Ambassador Antonio Cabangon-Chua and Betty Chua, James Sy Gaisano and Lily Lee.

Other notable VIPs present were Valenzuela Mayor Sherwin Gatchalian, Marikina Mayor Del de Guzman, Navotas Rep. Toby Tiancgo, Leyte Rep. Ferdinand Martin Romualdez, Ilocos Norte Rep. Rudy Farinas, Manila Rep. Amado Bagatsing, Davao’s Anton Lagdameo, Senator Bong Revilla Jr., Leyte Representative Lucy Torres-Gomez, among others.

Also spotted at the wedding were Mariel Rodriguez, Valerie Concepcion, Marco Alcaraz, Precious Lara Quigaman, Lani Mercado and Richard Gomez.

Reception was held at the Nuvali Eco Center in Sta. Rosa, Laguna.

Roman and Shalani are Paris-bound to spend their honeymoon.
