Nadine Lustre will have a new leading man in the upcoming movie “Ulan” and he’s none other than “Meet Me in St. Gallen” star Carlo Aquino.

This is Lustre’s first romantic movie without James Reid, her real-life boyfriend. It can be remembered that the JaDine love team catapulted to fame via their first movie “Diary ng Panget.” It was followed by “Talk Back and You’re Dead,” “Para Sa Hopeless Romantic,” “This Time” and “Never Not Love You.” This year, we will see both James and Nadine working separately with projects of their own and being paired with other stars.

For “Ulan,” Nadine is supposed to team up with Xian Lim but later on, Xian was replaced by Carlo. The Viva Films project will tackle the self-acceptance theme.

Also joining Nadine in “Ulan” are Marco Gumabao and AJ Muhlach. It’s written and helmed by Irene Villamor, the director of “Sid & Aya” and “Camp Sawi.”
