Filipino-Dubbed ‘I Told Sunset About You’ Debuts on POPTV

POPTV, the newest video-on-demand streaming service for Filipinos, streams the Filipino-dubbed version of the hit Thai coming-of-age romantic drama series “I Told Sunset About You” beginning this Friday (May 21).

The series, produced by Nadao Bangkok and Line TV, tells the story of estranged childhood best friends Teh and Oh-aew who cross paths after a long time in their hometown in Phuket as they both prepare for the admissions exam to the same university.

“ITSAY is a well done series that Filipinos can surely connect with. We are excited to partner with LINE TV and offer this especially for the Pinoy BL fans out there. In POPTV, our content selection is highly data-driven. We do active social listening, we follow the trends, and even touch base with different audience groups in order for us to really understand what our market wants,” shared POPTV COO Jackeline Chua.

Global fans, who unanimously dubbed it as one of the best BL (boys love) series of 2020, warmly received this five-episode drama for its heart wrenching storyline, captivating cinematography, and moving performances by breakout lead actors Billkin Putthipong and PP Krit.

Pinoy fans, meanwhile, immediately expressed their eagerness to watch the Filipino-dubbed version after POPTV’s announcement on social media and shared how excited they are to re-experience the emotional rollercoaster brought to them by this show in Filipino.

“Oh my God. I can already imagine the lines in Filipino! Pain realness!” said Twitter user @nattarintraipi.

“This will definitely hit differently Filipino-dubbed,” said @dearcattleya.

As an added treat, POPTV shared a video invite from Billkin and PP telling fans to watch and support the Filipino-dubbed ITSAY.
