Angel Locsin Pays Tribute to Volunteer Firefighters in ‘Iba Yan’

Viewers will find inspiration in the heroism of volunteer firefighters as Angel Locsin visits the Central Fil-Chinese Fire Rescue and Civic Welfare Association Inc. this Sunday Linggo on “Iba Yan,” 6:30 PM on A2Z, Kapamilya Channel, and Jeepney TV.

This volunteer fire brigade is one of the civic groups that have been helping the Bureau of Fire Protection as it grapples with the lack of firefighters in the country.

It was founded by Filipino-Chinese businessman Henry Sin in 2015, as personal advocacy after suffering a heart attack. Many have already been inspired by his mission, including his own son Hendrick, who is now the brigade’s fire chief. As of today, the group has 25 volunteer members.

The group is not just involved in firefighting but also in outreach programs that teach Filipinos fire safety and distribute donations to orphanages and other civic institutions.

As a non profit organization, the fire brigade admits it is difficult to sustain with only its members supporting it, which moved Angel and Team “Iba Yan” to offer assistance to the group.

Joining Angel this week as she visits the volunteer firefighters is comedian KitKat.

Find out how you can continue to help them this Sunday on “Iba Yan.” Catch it on A2Z, Kapamilya Channel, and Jeepney TV, Kapamilya Online Live via the YouTube channel and Facebook page of ABS-CBN Entertainment, and iWantTFC. Outside the country, it can be streamed on The Filipino Channel.
